[Hitchin Hackspace - members] Future vision for the space

Hey Guys,
I wanted to throw my future visions for the space into the pile.

The things I really enjoy about the Hackspace in roughly priority order are:
- A space to socialise with like-minded people,
- A fixed time to work on small electronic and software projects,
- Opportunity to work with the group on larger projects (I wan't involved
in BigHack, but would love to help with Teabot)

The current setup provides these adequately - our own space would be better.

There are a couple of nice-to-have things I would like, that our own
building would bring:
- A space to work on larger projects (I often build large things out of
wood - shelves, cupboard doors, rabbit hutches, planters etc.),
- Opportunity to learn about new equipment (3D printers look great fun!)

I think the ideas suggested in the meeting of Hitchin Hackspace having it's
own premises and working more with the community would be great; however
with regret it is not something I would be able to have time to contribute
to.

I work long hours and have a long commute, plus I have a baby due in
November so as much as I would like this not to be the case - realistically
I'm not going to be able to give more time to the Hackspace. In reality, I
will likely spend much less time at the Hackspace directly after the baby
has arrived.

Something small I would like to contribute to is the website. When visiting
the website it isn't really clear how active the Hackspace is. It's been
suggested a couple of times we could have a blog updated weekly. I've stuck
some notes on the wiki about my thoughts on this:

Cheerio,

Simon
