Every vote counts in low-turnout races like Mayoral elections. Will you vote on March 4?
Why should you take the time to vote in Oklahoma City's mayoral election? Although the Mayor has only one vote in any City Council decision, he appoints almost 700 citizens to serve on over 75 Boards, Trusts and Commissions. These appointees make critical decisions that affect the City and collectively control the allocation of millions of dollars.
On March 4, Oklahoma City voters will decide who will wield this significant power. Traditionally, mayoral races are low-turnout elections, which makes every vote that much more important. In the past, mayoral elections in OKC have been won by as few as 4,000 votes.
Will you be one of those who steer the future of Oklahoma City by electing our Mayor on March 4?
