Bill Kinser, ES2's principal, should be reaching to you. Bill wanted to meet to discuss details. I shared your contact information with him. I'll check on that.

Subject: [Ok-sus] Update on Oklahoma State Energy Conservation Program - Energy Manager positions

Greetings to sustainability community,

Oklahoma State Energy Conservation Program is moving forward. State agencies will start looking for candidates for Energy Managers. Most agencies will probably utilize internal resources. However, many will have to hire new people. Office of Management and
Enterprise Services will also create a pool of candidates for consideration by specific agencies.

I have visited over 60 state agencies all over Oklahoma: colleges, career tech centers, parks, hospitals, etc. Over 100 agencies of all sizes will participate in the program! Agencies are motivated and cautiously excited. "Cautiously" - because it is a major
undertaking to initiate cultural shift in energy use, general awareness and operational knowledge. If successful, the impact of this program will be massive. I do encourage everyone to support your local state agencies, whether it is a local state college,
DHS office, a clinic of Oklahoma Veteran Affairs or local park facility. As you drive through turnpike booths, express your support to the staff - they may not be fully aware right at this point, still words of support could be helpful.

Let me know if you have any questions.
